About the school
This school was established by Rev. Fr. John Joseph st on 1 June 1951 at Mudiacode in the Grama Panchayat, Cherunniyoor. This is an educational Institution coming under the jurisdictional control of the Bishop of Thiruvananthapuram. The founder was appointed by the Bishop of Thiruvananthapuram Rt. Rev. Vincent Perera. It started functioning in the residence of Shri. Luke Fernades located quite near the neighbour hood of the school.
Shri. G. Peter, a native of Moongod was the first Head teacher of the school. The third form of the school was inaugurated by the locally eminent person Shri. Kunjuraman Muthalai, Puthen Veettil Cherunniyoor.The school started with the name English Medium school, Mudiacode with a strength of 28 Children.
There were classes in V, VI, VII with12 divisions altogether Sri. Balaji IAS, Sri Maoji IAS and Sri. Cherunniyoor Nama Sivaryan etc. are some of the outstanding old students of this school.Our Local Manager is Rev.Fr. Shijin Antony & the Headmistress is Smt.Aleyamma Thomas.There are 10 teachers and 2 non - teaching staff working here.
The school which is a 73 year old educational Institution has a strength of 200 (104 Boys 86 Girls) children in 7 divisions,in the academic Year 2023 - '24. Among the children 90 belong to the scheduled caste category.
