KCSL was officially inaugurated on May 13, 1917 at Alappuzha Leo Thirteen High School. It was started in 1973 in Thiruva Nanthapuram Diocese. Abhi. Rodrigues Kutty took charge as Director 16.05.2003-08 and after 5 years of meritorious service with innovative programs on 23.05.2008 Fr. Shajin Jose was appointed as Director. KCS through training programs at unit, diocesan and zonal levels. KCSL was encouraged to reach out to the hearts of L students and train with Catholic students studying in other schools.
